Probability Seminar - Harmonic Analysis of Multiplicative Chaos

Abstract: I will introduce a general method in dealing with Fourier decay of random measures arising from Kahane's T-martingale theory, thus including Mandelbrot Cascades (canonical or microcanonical), Gaussian Multiplicative Chaos, Random Coverings and more abstract ones. This very new method is a combination of many fundamental vector-valued martingale inequalities such as Pisier's martingale type inequality, Burkholder-Rosenthal inequality, Bourgain-Stein inequality etc and also an idea which seems to related to the decoupling method in harmonic analysis, and fundamental techniques from classical harmonic analysis. The talk is based on several joint works with Xinxin Chen, Yong Han, Zipeng Wang, and with Zhaofeng Lin, Mingjie Tan, as well as with Yukun Chen, Xiangdi Fu, Zhaofeng Lin.
报告人简介:邱彦奇,国科大杭州高等研究院研究员,2007年从清华大学考入巴黎高等师范,2010年获巴黎六大数学硕士学位。2013年获得巴黎六大数学博士学位。2013至2015年在Aix-Marseille大学从事博士后研究工作。2015年通过选拔录取为法国国家科研中心 (CNRS) 副研究员。2017年在中科院数学所任副研究员,2019年晋升为研究员,2021至2023年兼任武汉大学数学与统计学院教授,2023年从中科院数学所调任国科大杭州高等研究院研究员。其研究工作涵盖泛函分析、随机分析和调和分析等分析数学多个领域,取得了一系列的研究成果。
